AddBlog4 After a short period (and a progress bar) the Select blog screen should appear.  Choose the collection to post to.  You can repeat this process if you want to post to another collection.

AddBlog5 Another progress bar should appear.  You may be asked to Create a Temporary Post during this step.  If it asks, click Yes.

AddBlog7 You should see another Select blog screen, this time asking which collection to store images in.  Select your media collection.

AddBlog8 Finally, your blog should be setup.  You can optionally enter a custom blog nickname for use within Live Writer.  Click Finish.

Note: There is currently a bug with media uploads in the latest release of Live Writer.

Creating Posts

Once your blog is setup, it is easy to create a post with Windows Live Writer. First, click the New button and type your new post. When you are done, click Publish. You can optionally set categories, a publish date, and even give your post a custom Slug. Also, instead of immediately publishing your post, you can click the down arrow next to Save draft and choose Post draft to blog. The post will only be visible to authorized users.

OpenBlogPost Editing Posts

To edit an existing post in with Windows Live Writer, you must first open the post from your blog. Click the Open button. Select your blog from the list and then find the post you wish to edit. You can filter the posts to quickly find it. Select the post and click OK to open the post. Now you can make changes to the existing post. When you are done, click Publish.

Deleting Posts

Deleting a post in Windows Live Writer follows the same process as opening a post. Click the Open button. Find your post and select it. Finally, click the delete button.
